Okay, I'm finished The Toga Project. Yay, me! And I ended up with plenty of leftover material, which I can use at The Dawning, or for new clothes, or something something something.... I dunno, yet. I'll come up with a crazy idea.

Godfrey's last night was okay. I really really liked getting to hang out for a wee bit with unnerving and getting to [finally!] meet the very sweet and impressive version2. I tried to dance to Das Ich and the friggin' smoky-ass club defeated me about 3/4 through the song. They reallyneed better ventilation. We ended up travelling out with Tank and his girlie Rachel in her small but workable Mustang... we arrived around midnight-thirty, ran immediately into Kyle from Logic Of Decay and said hello... then a very tipsy and funny rat_bastard joined us for a bit and we indulged in our usual conversation about music. Lots of Richmond people that come to The Dawning were there, and that was fun. We left when things closed down and drove back home, being silly the whole way. It was pleasant. I like occasionally going out to clubs that I'm not responsible for ;)
audiorapture called me today to see if I wanted to go to the Closing night of Revelations in Richmond, but I just couldn't bear another night of smoky club, and besides, I needed to work on the togas... and clean the dump of a room. We managed to get it mostly clean, better than it was to begin with, at least. Arg.

I have no idea what goes on tomorrow. We shall see!

It is called attrition, my friend. It takes a while for the novelty factor to be balanced out by the dedication of regulars. I think that when you start getting bands in, it might help keep attendence up. Remember, I at least had an established name to start with, although attendence was rather dismal when I started. I'm finding that it helps a lot to try to get the regulars you do have to get involved, with flyering or promoting... maybe start a street team?
