Rape is not funny. Not ever. By laughing at it, you make it acceptable. You buy into the idea that it is “just not that big of a deal” and I don’t care if you think that joking about it mitigates the damage – if you haven’t been raped, you have no damage to mitigate! It’s a cheap punch line that hurts people. Stop it.

Rape is not equivalent to:
losing at a video game
being overcharged
taking a difficult test
buying an expensive meal/outfit/car/etc
having something happen that you dislike

Because yes, getting pwned at a MMORPG is JUST like being held down and forced to have sex against your will, ruining your life and making you distrust people for a very long time, causing you to have to spend tons of money on therapy and counseling while being afraid to mention it to anyone you know lest you get blamed somehow for the rape.
