I guess it could be worse...I could have no thoughts in my head at all. I'm just kidding about the going away part, okay?
I'm not really bitching. I just have circular brain disorder - a semi-rare malady that makes one's thoughts go 'round and 'round and 'round... Like being on a ferris wheel of ideas or something. Well, NRN will give me distraction from my broken record head.
Hmm. So I woke up at 8am, waiting for the repairman to come fix the dryer [blessed be, it works now], and now I'm puttering about, killing time before I go to the station. I started revampingthe webpage last night, a frustrating yet ultimately satisfying venture. I alays get irrltated because as soon as I get in the groove with it, something or one will some around and start interrupting me. I am trying to get a handle on the irritation, as I've tried everything to keep the distractions to a minimum and it doesn't seem to help. I'll treat it like a test of my iron will. It is a weird thing, because I'm generally very pleasant and not too easily irked - unless we're talking about my hair, which manages to piss me off almost every morning without fail. I'm almost to the shaveitalloff point, which I'm sure I'll regret, eh?
Blah, grumble grumble grumble. I'm no fun to read, I'm sure. In fun news, Terminal Ready plays this weekend. I'm working the door at The Dawning, because of course, Tank's in the band so he can't. I'm looking forward to working door; it is a social environment with controlled parameters, which I do pretty well with. I don't get too nervous when I'm chatting at the door. Plus, the guys are a good draw and they'll do well.. and they rock. I might even drink a few drinks, gasp! Krues is bartending downstairs, which will make it a good time. I hope it is a packed house. And I hope next week, when Darkcell and I DJ, is at least a moderate draw. I've managed to not spin very much at The Dawning lately, and this will be a nice return. In the month of December, I have 2 gigs, I think... one with Anath3ma from VA Beach, whih should be wild, as I haven't heard him spin at all yet. I like that sort of "living on the edge" vibe when I DJ. A year ago, I would never have said that!
Okay, I have to lace up the tall boots and go to work at WNRN. If you send me emails to dj_xiane at yahoo.com, I would be soooo pleased. :)
