If you didn't take a look at what I still have left for sale here, take a look before I post to ebay!

Also I have a tube of L'oreal HiColor Hilights in RED up for grabs. $4, postage paid. This is the stuff I used to use to make my hair BRIGHT ASS RED. It is designed to be used to make red highlights in dark hair, so on lighter hair it really stands out. Takes 30 or 40 vol developer. First to respond gets it. Paypal only.

More stuff will be posted soon. BIG closet cleaning!

L'oreal HiColor Hilights

So do they make one in blue/black? Maybe it'd help with keeping the black in my natural red hair. Where do you purchase it?

The hilights version is only reds or blondes - http://www.sallybeauty.com/shop/1462/500240 - because it is designed to lift naturally black hair to lighter shades. I'd suggest using black dyes that were designed for women of colour, because that tends to be SUPER pigmented. I used to use those for dark colours, because my hair is naturally light and really resistant to dark shades for some reason.

I sorry, girlie. :(

I'm selling all this stuff to get some extra cash together for somewhat similar reasons. Being poor sucks. Hang in there, it has to get better.

let the record show that if your hair IS black, you'll need an 80 developer to acheive anything remotely close to red with that dye. it takes about 1.5 to 2 hours...i got anywhere from strawberry-blonde to orange-red.
the box, it lies.
of course, some of us are destined to never possess the glory that is the red hair.
i'll put a bag over my head.

I think black hair is gorgeous! I have natural fire red hair (they tell it only 3% of redheads actually have this color) and I dye mine blue/black. Which then proceeds to make everyone ask me why and if I'm crazy.

haha...yes...most people tell me the same thing. my hair is naturally pitch black and in ringlets. when i was younger, i tried to do just about everything to it to make it red and straight, because i learned at a tender age that a) curls like these will relegate me to looking 5 years old for the rest of my life, and b) all men have a redhead fetish and i was in grave danger of dying alone.
i'm now 30 years old, and have accepted my lot in life as that girl with the unfortunate hair and the table for one. and all my friends with the hair dye hate me for the hair. i have no idea why anyone would choose black...although it probably causes the least amount of damage to your hair, in terms of processing...

That's funny... you wanted to be a redhead and I changed mine for the same reason! You don't know how many drooly creepy looks and comments I got in a day's time. "... are you a reeeeeeeeal redhead"... No dumbshit you can get this wonderful fire shade from a bottle. *rolls eyes* Now they don't ask anymore... unless I havn't done it recently then you can see my roots and then I hear about the mortal crime I'm committing by dying it. Oye vey. I like it black, plus since I'm allergic to the sun... my orange/red freckles are fading a tad and I glow in the dark with black hair. What's funny is my husband has a major thing for both true redheads and blackest black hair... so he secretly gets both. :)

he's lucky...best of both worlds. ;)
no way would i put my hair through that anymore. besides, i'm going gray now, and it's coming in bright silver, which is kind of cool. it's chrome-colored. :D i hope i get a skunk-streak...

Oooh that would be cool! Mine is so damn long that I have white/silver/red/fire red/black if I don't dye it every month. It looks very odd to say the least.

hahaha...if and when you stretch mine out, or when it's wet, it's about collarbone-length. but it springs up to my jaw...

Wow those are some seriously tight curls! Mine goes down to my tush... which I'm always shutting in the car door or sitting on. I look like one of Jerry Lewis' movies.
