Tomorrow night on SubShock!
You've read about him in USA Today and The Hook. You've seen the reviews. You've seen his Website and his video on youtube. You've heard his band, Synthetic Division, on Subculture Shock and The Dawning.

And now, you're almost definitely awaiting his book with severe eagerness.

This Sunday at 10pm EST on 91.9 (Charlottesville), 89.9 (Lynchburg), 103.1 (Richmond), 95.1 (Harrisonburg) and Online(Everywhere), Shawn Decker will be on the air, picking out tunes, reading selections from his book, and making fun of any WNRN DJ braveenough to show. You can call in (979 0919, Toll Free 1-877-6762) withyour questions and even chat with us online via AOL Instant Messenger(Handle: WNRN Studio). You'll even have a chance to win a copy of My Pet Virus, Shawn's new book, before it even goes on sale! So tune in. This promises to be a SubShock like no other!

If you're new to my journal or have just been asleep, [livejournal.com profile] subshock used to be my radio show, and now it is [livejournal.com profile] solieri's - and he does a great job with it. Shawn Decker you heard about previously - not only is he a great writer and musician, but he's hilarious and had great musical taste, to boot. Should be a GREAT time, so tune in!

Shawn is a best friend of my ex's--it's funny, I can't remember if I met him or not back in my old days, because I was so mentally ill during the trailing months of my relationship with justin (a/k/a visiondark). I think what he is doing is really awesome, and I keep meaning to pick up that book. Thanks for the reminder.

Shawn's a great guy with a much-needed message, and I'm constantly amazed at how good he is at what he does. I've been trying to help support him as much as I can. I'm really pleased that so many people are saying they're going to buy his book. I hope you get to meet him [consciously] sometime in the future - he's one of my favourite people. :)

Is it weird sometimes to have overlap from your past like that? I'm lucky in that my past is mostly all intertwined and doesn't often pop out and smack me. [except when I moved back to B'more! There were a couple of weirdnesses like that in the first months!]
