I'm guessing that you've already read it (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0345339681/002-8694056-3840020?n=283155).

I have, but I didn't pinpoint it as from there until you pointed it out. Did you remember the passage or did you do a search for it?

It's been about 20 years since I reread The Hobbit. Wow.

I clicked on it accidentally and was like "oooh."

I didn't remember the passage until Bill pointed out it was from The Hobbit. I haven't read that in forever!

I had the Hobbit on an LP and used to listen to it all the time as a child. I can hear the narrator's voice and can see the cartoon version of them all lying down in the forest.... I read that once... and it was familar, like a far off voice, then I read it again and could hear the narrator's voice...

Whoa-- how weird. I read this passage on my friends list and I thought, "I wonder if that's the Hobbit?" and of course it was confirmed. But I haven't read The Hobbit since I was 12years old, and I didn't even particularly adore it, and I never read any more Tolkien because I *really* didn't like the beginning of the next book and just gave up. So I have *no* idea how I knew that.

Anyway, I'm also commenting because I *really* need your address because I have a wee giftie that I made for you when you came to town last, but I wasn't here then to give it to you. :( So I'd like to mail it, if that's okay. And if you'd like, you can email me your address to eilonwy@gmail.com. Yay! Thanks! ::hugs::!

*GUH* So do I!
If you'd like to read other (hopefully) good stories, you should check out my deviantART gallery: parkas4kids.deviantART.com (http://parkas4kids.deviantart.com). I think you might find my series THE INSOMNIAC rather intriguing.
