Whee. Come home only to find the hospital bill from my little trip to the Emergency room.

I didn't know that vomit could be so expensive.

My total bill - NOT including Physicians' fees, which will come under seperate cover?

Yay. And it should be fun trying to pay that, as I barely make any money as is. I guess eBay is going to be seeing LOTS of posts from me soon.

This fucking blows. I knew it would probably be bad, but I didn't expect nearly that much of a bill. Gee, I can't wait until the other one comes in. Fucking hell.

Add that to some other crap that is minor in comparison, yet rather disappointing, and I have to say, I'm not very happy right now. Poop. Fucking poop. Fucking fuck fuck. [imagine me kicking at things randomly while saying this, in a sad and pathetic sort of way]
I guess that's what I get for getting sick. What was I thinking?

$571! Did they reattach a limb? What frigging hospital did you go to? Was your puke bucket gold plated? Did they toss roses at your feet so you could avoid touching the oh-so-passe floor on the way to the bathroom? Did they come by with the espresso cart while you were waiting for your doctor? Did the nurses put on a floor show with contortionists and a kick line? If not, I'd say you were ripped off and you should demand such things if you find youself there in the future. Maybe I need to go in there and bust some heads.

so, what happens if you call the hospital up and tell them you're too poor to pay the bill and that you don't have a job?

they have to swallow this kind of thing all the time, but i'm not sure what they DO to you in the process.
