Because my friend daq_42 summed it up well when someone asked him last year, here's what he said about it:
"Andie suffered from a rare disorder called Addison's disease. This is an endocrine disorder that causes problems with the adrenal gland and the bodies ability to produce cortison and other hormones that are required for many wonderful things like salt retention, appetite, insulin production and normal dietary function. One of the main symptoms is a darkening or tanning of ths skin without exposure to sunlight.
The information I have is that she died due to a complication with the medication she needed to replace the missing hormones in her system."
It was *horribly* unexpected. She was talented [singing voice of an angel], bright, and lovely, and it caught all of us who knew her right in the heart.
My friend Patrick made her a tribute on his LJ last year, and I think it deserves a link: http://solieri.livejournal.com/167756.html
