So you all know that I get up... later than many. I also don't get to sleep until 5 or 6 am in general.

Today, I made a Big Deal of getting up at 1p, which was hard as hell because I've been exhausted, so that I could call the Gyn and make an appointment.

At 1p, they were already gone for the weekend.

I fuckin' quit.

Yeah, sometimes you have to just get up make the call and then go back to bed. I use to have to do that when I would call out sick from work and needed to go to the doctor. Just get right on the phone when they opened and get it done and hope to god that I could get more rest afterward.

I think that the man reason that they might have been closed was due to the long "holiday" weekend. A lot of places just close earlier on the Friday before a holiday as well as having that day off.

Please don't give up. I made my well-woman/GYN appt. today and I'm way overdue and I really have reasons to get my ass in there (high cervical cancer risk) and I've had so many "female" problems that I HATE going. Be brave and know you are loved.

Heh. I'm really afraid of calling like that, because I am really groggy when I wake up and might make a mistake in scheduling. I wish I could get to sleep earlier; that would eliminate a lot of these problems.

I'm not gonna give up, but oooooooh do I want to ;)

More like 8 to four with lunch from 12 to two, with the phones turned off until 8:15, from 11:45-2:15, and again at 3:35.

No doctor's office I've ever been to has answered the phones after 4:30. When I called the same Gyn's office on Weds [thinking that's who my doctor wanted me to call about the mammogram, because he didn't bother to explain], they told me not to bother calling back that day to make an appointment, as they were leaving at 3p. [office would be closed]

THREE pm. I want those hours, seriously.

I was expecting the hours you've got listed, as those are respectable office hours. It's amazing how little that common sense rules here.
