Would there be interest in making a clothing swap happen?

I have a ton of stuff that I'm not wearing. I would love to swap and/or sell it off. I might even give some of it away.

That includes a pair of stompy boots. And some nice pants/shirts/maybe some tees.

What do you think? Any interest?

edit I think this is going to HAVE to go online. Too many of us too far away. Respond if you wanna swap stuff!

I keep trying to have a clothes swap party...

By "trying", I mean "I think really hard about it and then forgetting."

I'd love to swap clothes...i wonder if i could realistically ever make it to a swap in b-more? what size shoe are you? i have some boots that are too small now that i have post baby feet.Who knew your feet get bigger after kids?

Oh yeah, and why isn't there such a thing as "night care" (like day care) at these Cryptkickers events?
Just kidding, but what do you think of a daytime event like a victorian cemetery tea party or such?
How would one make that happen legally? Am i speaking out loud? i am babbling, i know that

My feet are pretty big; size 10 - 11. I know... O_o

The boots are an 11, I think. And really silly/stompy. Although if you can wear a 10, I might have some you'd like. Let me peruse the closet.

If I could come up with a way to make Deathrock Night-Care for kids... oh, man. That would rock.

If I don't get a lot of response online, I might post the clothes and offer things up for trade that way.

... I love picnics. With tea. And little sandwiches. And cookies. Let's make this happen!

we are the same shoe size. we should work something out next time i'm down there! i don't know anyone who has feet my size!!

oooh!

Are your feet wide or narrow? Mine are really wide at the toes but narrow-heeled, although I generally wear regular width shoes.

by [identity profile] xelucha.livejournal.com
i think mine are similar, actually. i have very, very wide toes (one foot might actually have a developing bunion, the big toe really sticks out an odd angle) but a fairly normal heel. most of my shoes now are size 10 but if i'm going to be wearing thick socks with them i can even go 11. i pretty much wear mary janes or boots all the time!

by [identity profile] xiane.livejournal.com
... holy crap. Add bunions for certain, and you have my feet. I think the boot-wearing caused bunions.

Where do you usually buy shoes? I prefer Gripfast boots.

yeah, i haven't asked a doctor yet but the angle my toe's at...it must be a bunion. doesn't hurt as long as i wear giant shoes though!

i usually buy shoes at the thrift store, or Target! :) i'm really cheap. :)

I wear size 10s. I'm not looking to get rid of any shoes that are particularly appealing that I can think of though.

I'm planning to get rid of a bunch of stuff too. I was just talking with somone about trying to convince Kele-de that we should do a Goth Swap night at Ascension sometime.

I need to learn how to put pics online.

Picnics are good too. :)

Noted, and I just revised my post to see who would like to get involved with this online. I'll have to take pics of everything! O_o

If no one else succesfully wears the boots, we know for certain our feet are pretty much the same shape and all, so I'd like to try. (Ah, Cinderella implications...) I miss those other boots you gave me, the heels just wouldn't make it... sigh. I need some kind of indimidating boots for Canada; I'm just not cool enough anymore.

Maybe I'll just cave and buy the megas: http://www.goodgoth.com/unisexboots.htm doom...

And maybe a new Eternal Love dress... it struck me recently that there's fucking nothing in my wardrobe anymore, since I no longer dress lolita. (My increasing age and boobs object. The time has come to take on my mantle of elder vixendom.) I've got the utilikilt and a handful of tees and that's it. Sigh. If you see anything cool at the HT, let me know... It's hard to go shopping for the hulk. Babyperkemon is involving into some kind of hybrid between ChrisKnightemon and LindseyJaidemon. Heh.

If you scroll down to the "Combat" ones, those are the ones I have.

Just so you know, I wouldn't pay those prices for those. The soles WILL come off - that's the problem with the Combats. The sole needs to be glued back in place. It isn't debilitating yet, but those shoes always fall apart. I am tired of dealing w/ 'em.

If you want new boots that cost half of that but still have a platform, I got these from HT: http://www.hottopic.com/store/product.asp?LS=0&M=1220413507&ITEM=341770 - I like them a lot.

I have a sweet Torrid dress you might like. Laces up in the front, kinda gauzey. I'll list everything up mebbe tonight.

I think LindsayJaide and I have good, rather compatible fashion sense. Especially for We of The Boobies. Yay for curvy girls! You're going down the right path, I think ;)

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaah, those are fairly insane prices. But I miss having a useful pair of Demonias. And I do find that the big giant solid soles come off less than the... "chunk heels," or whatever you call 'em, with the treads. My big giant maryjanes still have the same sole... the straps just break. (Thus, methinks I'll finally move to boots. Too much mass for one strap to hold.) I should browse around to see if anyone has reviews of the Megas.

Ick, sole coming-offy.. you know, I just FINALLY got rid of those other boots (I could've cried! they were the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn!) but I hated not knowing if I was going to be out and they'd snap off, despite several types of glue. Meh.

Yesssssssss, give to M the frilly lace-uppy dresses, yessss... by the way, have you seen Torrid.com lately? It's pastel DOOM! WTF happened?! Noooooooooo!

Yes, we are Of A Type, aren't we? <3 The pretty, fairly comfortable romantic/trad look is... good for the boobies. I just can't imagine vinyl or miniskirts, really. Not so much. I've been working the pigtailed perky look since I was 16, honestly, and it's starting to seem inappropriate... Of course, people will jump to the defense that a thirty year old woman should be happy to dress gothic lolita, kinderwhore, or however she likes. While this is all true, I suppose, I've begun to feel rather ridiculous in such attire, with the boobs and hips and biceps and eyebags and all. (Besides, I've the toys to dress in the shades of pink I'd rather not don myself.) Elegant gothic, I think; aging perky. Curly falls and skirts. Mwah.

I'm looking forward to Canada in hopes I can wear a few of those higher-end velvet Lippy pieces I never wear out here, due to heat. I suppose that's one perk of the cold. ;)

Any reviews of the fake Transmuters? http://www.hottopic.com/store/product.asp?LS=0&M=1220413507&ITEM=303755 (I love that big fat sole, yes, precious, I do.)

http://www.hottopic.com/store/product.asp?LS=0&M=1220413507&ITEM=392332 These are tempting, but I'd never ever wear them.

And I need to find a store that has these http://www.hottopic.com/store/product.asp?LS=0&M=1220413507&ITEM=349384 and try them on; that looks very much like my normal style.

Various colors, but yes. The sole is still just fine, the straps broke long ago. I'm tempted to just wear them forever, but I'd like to expand into some stylish boots.

Just a question.

Why not do a swap at Cryptie, or talk to Kele-De about doing one at Ascension?
There are enough local people that this can happen.

I have an extra large Lenore shirt I'd like to get rid of and a black embroidered cocktail dress that turned out to be too big. It's a vintage size 20 (38 to 40 bust, 30 to 31 waist and 42 hips).

Though, if you're Djin' it's going to be packed wall to wall. :)
