The Brides: rock my socks, pants, and other unmentionable bits.

The Dawning: was a weird dynamic, what with the up-and-down nature of the evening between bands, but it was fun. I spun a fun-as-hell set after The Brides, made me grin.

Money: what money? I'm so goddamn broke, it makes my teeth hurt. Excursions of the immediate future will be small and meaningful, rather than spendy.

I missed everyone while I was gone. That being said, I had the loveliest time while I was away. That deserves a bigger entry, which I keep delaying.

If I talked to you specifically about spinning at The Dawning recently, would you please confirm your date with me? I seem to have lost my brain along the way.

Okay. Off to work.

I was tempted to sit on one of the amps. :-P

I wish I had felt better this Saturday. It would have been cool to have a chat with those guys.

We talked briefly about a date in August a week or two ago, nothing specific. Can't wait to DJ the Dawning again though, it always raises my spirits.

*grin*

You talked to K about DJing one day when I was with you. I don't remember details, but maybe August?

oh, no it doesnt... plenty of people never bother to learn how and do it anyway. Just keep track of everything that everyone else plays and copy that.

No, no, no...

It's easier than that. Get any crappy music jukebox software, load it up with the goth/industrial/dance standards, and just put it on random. Then bob your head out of sync with the music and act pompous and elite and you'll be in. Also, make sure you act like crossfading is the hardest effort you've ever done in your life and celebrate like an ass after each song change.
I've been doing it for years. You'll be instantly worshipped. Especially if you play 4 songs from the same band in a row.

/sarcasm (well, maybe)

Two things!

1) I think you and I talked about me spinning on... hm... the 28th, I think?
2) Are you still spinning Wednesday night at the Re:surrection?

Lemme know!

hey, you found me!

i heard another fab time was had, thanks for taking care of the kiddies. i know they are all growsey-up, but i get thinkin' and worryin', just like a silly hen. anyone can give up couchspace, but your hospitality is legendary. maybe, if i play my cards right, i will get to experience it!

i can't wait to see the faux-toes [livejournal.com profile] gregjaw took- they sound frightfully interesting!

Mr. Jaw told me that you'd passed on a hello through him and I said, "D'oh! I meant to add her to the ol' friends list 'o doom ages ago!" I'm such a dweeb.

I wish you could have made it along to the show! The kids rocked the house; they even managed to rock MY house, as I swear my bedroom was cleaner when they left than when they got here. How DO they do it?

You ARE going to be along with them for Drop Dead II, yes?

i thought you were keen but i don't add ppl until they see fit to add me, otherwise i feel as if i am imposing my interest upon them. at least now gj won't have to call me over to the computer to read what you wrote in your journal.

they are rather clean, aren't they. not very r'n'r- do keep that on the dl, deal? ;)

and i just might be nosing around saturday at dddeux. it would seem a shame considering it is in my backyard. i enjoyed last year immensely at cb's, i hope this year is half as fun. i am looking at the site for the first time in ages and don't see frankenstein listed- weren't they supposed to play? bah.
