Per the kind request of
agentleman, who wonders why I am so cruel to my main character, there are updates on
insleepyouknow, otherwise known as "In Sleep You Know", AKA Xiane's NaNoWriMo gone horribly over the allotted time. ;)
sweetbabboo, don't get jealous when you read the latest developments with a certain swoony cad...
Uh... most of the stuff that happened today has been documented by others, so I'll give the Reader's Digest version here.
Work: boring. Got the novel to just over 30,000 words.
Earthquake: while waiting at The Tea Bazaar, I was interrupted from a lovely salad by a sound that reminded me of trains approaching, followed quickly by some intense shaking of the room. The people there all looked up, confused. Was it an earthquake? Why, yes it was, 4.5 magnitude, to be exact. O_o
Tea: wonderful time spent with
goddessisis, drinking tea [rooibos for me!] and discussing a multitude of interesting things.
Christian's: pizza was consumed by
seeliespright,
javafiend,
explodingcat,
krasota, and
goddessisis. Knowing full well ahead of time that I was going to be party to this - but of course I can't eat pizza now, while low-carbing - I'd cleverly had my salad earlier, and was able to join the fun without feeling deprived.
Fake Coffee: those who spend time around me know my penchant for what I term "fake coffee" - decaf breves. Falls in the guidelines of my diet plan, tastes delish, fills the void for heavy hot drink. [tea is light to my palate.] We lounged about in Mudhaus, sipped our brew, chatted. The party broke up, finally, and Tom gave me a ride home. From there, I hung out with Terminal Ready while they had their band practice, and putzed on the computer.
Not a particularly productive day [well, I got words written, that's good at least], but very relaxing and pleasant! Thanks to all who contributed to the loveliness.
