Well... we [[livejournal.com profile] krasota and I] took [livejournal.com profile] briskpepper to the doctor today.

Mono.
-and-
Strep Throat.

So... well, shit. If you've not had mono, and you're sensitive to viral infection type things... stay away from my house for a bit.

Poor, poor Stu. :(

Oh, and in other news - coffee, Friday, 6p, Starbucks. Be there!

What Starbucks - Pantops? (Is there another Starbucks in C-ville?)

Any reason you can't make it Mudhouse instead? I miss being able to wander out of work and see cool people on the Mall! Plus, I can always duck out of work for a while, but I don't know that I can actually finish up and leave by 6. Not that this is your problem.

I hope [livejournal.com profile] briskpepper gets much better. Mono alone is miserable enough.

after a brief time on antibiotics, the strep should no longer be infectious.

boy has had mono. he'd probably be up for playing video games with stu on saturday or some other time, if stu would like that.

his wooziness issues this week were blood sugar issues, btw.

i'll make sure i irrigate my sinuses tonight (i stopped taking my night-time pseudoephedrine, so my sinuses are angry) so that i don't incubate any stu-germs. ;)

britney's on MTV. you know you want to watch.

there are a few starbucks in cville. pantops is the newest. the one we all meet at is on the Corner.

there's also one in the plaza right beside shopper's world (next to radio shack) on 29. And there's a franchise location inside B&N (but we don't likeses that one, precious). and there's a counter in the mall (open area in the middle, right near the beanery). i'm probably forgetting another, but perhaps not...

for someone who doesn't particularly care for coffee, i know a lot about this town's coffeeshops. this scares me. it must stop.

*hugs to [livejournal.com profile] briskpepper*
Hmm, I might should post that in his journal, eh?

Mono SUCKS. Brian and I had it last fall, and it's still coming back occasionally to kick my ass.

We'll be there for a good amount of time, most like. People will still be accepted into the gathering if they do not arrive at 6; if that were not the case, I would have been drinking alone last week. ^_^

If by chance you CAN make it - rock on. If you can't, I'd like to meet up next week for coffee with you. We need to catch up!

We don't do Mudhouse because it's too freakin' small for us, and the Chai at Starbucks is better. [I'm told] We might all be at Christian's after the coffee meet - call my cell if you can try to meet up with us afterwards. 434 242 0828.

Ah. Other end of town then. I'd forgotten about the Corner one. I never get down there anymore.

Not a coffe drinker? Heretic! I hope you at least drink tea! I have a tin of Twining's in my desk drawer that is, along with net access, my sanity-saver at work. To the limited extent I do stay sane, anyway.

You folks should let me know when you're going to Mudhouse sometime. And wear that hat - I'll bring the cats.

I *do* drink heavily sugared and creamed coffee (you know, Communist Coffee)--otherwise it tears my tummy up. ;)

I drink a hella lotta tea. I love tea. Tea tea tea tea. In fact, I like my tea so much that when I go to Starbucks and want chai, I don't order their version--I pick up a chai teabag and pay for that (and the cup of hot water to go with it--with an inch of room at the top) and sweeten/cream it to my liking. At home, I make my chai masala from scratch. I am an unrepentant tea snob.

I'm also a kitty dope dealer.

I am keeping you away from my innocent little darlings. You are a bad influence!

As it turns out, it's 9 pm and I'm just now leaving the office, so I am going to crawl home to dinner. But your digits are now saved. I'd give you mine but not in a comment on a public entry - if you see [livejournal.com profile] krues8dr, he has my cell #, you can tell him I said it was fine to give it to you. Otherwise I'll try and call you sometime soon.

Rock on. My number is fairly public knowledge, so I have little fear. ;)

What do you think about a coffee break on Wednesday or something?
