...at least for the MOMENT.

In case you haven't heard, Adelphia hates us YET AGAIN, and our service has been bopping in and out like crazy. I just read Two Hundred and Twenty-five journal entries. I read, if not answered, all my email. sxoidmal, I owe you a response but I'm going to wait until tomorrow, and the relative safety of WNRN's connection.

Quick update: I got The Sick again tonight, right before Synthetic Division went on. [he kicked ASS, BTW. Buy his new CD!] I spun the last hour while my insides did flip-flops, and I only had ONE issue. I even kept people dancing pretty well! Rock on, me. I took a percocet right around 1am, and I'm feeling goofy. It didn't help this time, either. Poop.

Tomorrow, technically today:
Subculture Shock's turn to collect money for the WNRN Fall 2003 Fundraiser! You know what that means by now, I think... lots of fucking awesome premiums to pick up for your pledges of support. I have some badass stuff this time around, which I'll list in detail tomorrow... but everyone, no matter how much you pledge, gets a brand spankin' new SubShock Fall 2003 Compilation, which has some of the best bands EVER on it. [where else are you going to find Bella Morte's cover of "Partytime"? NO WHERE! That's right!] I'll list all the good stuff on that tomorrow, too. I'm just too tired now.

Hi Xiane. You don't know me, but I go to The Dawning almost every week. I just wanted to thank you for the *wonderful* music that you played last night. I was very, very excited that you played Siouxsie and the Banshees. Mmmm, old school goth <3 Also...there was a song you played with the lyrics "Can I have a taste of your ice cream? Can I lick the crumbs from your table?" et cetera...Can I ask who that song is by? I love it.

Anyway, that's all. I'm hoping to listen to Subculture Shock tonight for the first time. I've no doubts that it will be excellent. :-)

Thank you SO much for the positive feedback! Considering how poo I was feeling, I consider that quite the coup. ;)

The song you're referring to is "Mind Your Own Business" by Pigface. That whole album is wonderful goodness, I recommend it highly!

sweet...and damn those sweet briar girls!! they play some of the weirdest shit!!! if only my sound on my computer works. booo!!! grrr. by the way, they are horrible djs as i'm listening to them now. anywzy, i'll text message ya (or try to). i might just email it to ya too. and hope 5 bucks is good enough for you cuz that's all i can afford. since i didn't go to tokyo rose last night, i can spare 5 bucks. :) really tight budget this semester until i can find a second job.
