The show tonight kicked SO much ass. Turn Pale and The Brides put on one damn awesome show; everyone was dancing, rocking out, covered in sweat and oozing happiness. The show I feared to be a flop was quite the success! I told The Brides that my stress was the glue for shows at The Rose - the more I freak, the better the show ;)
Everyone was dancing for Turn Pale... and The Brides managed to amass the biggest mosh pit I've seen in some time at a Dawning show. People loved them. And people were doing that screaming thing when any song I was spinning started up... I stuck to old school and classics from the old Dawning setlists, and it worked perfectly with the mood. I'll post a playlist later on. Now, I need to shower and sleep!

I am not going to be able to deal with the coolness of the NYC Deathrock fest if this past week is any indicator.

Gah! I'm so excited now more than every about NYC, I'm gonna pee my pants when I see these bands, and if any of them, say Cinema Strange, stay at Jenn's house, and we actually get a chance to converse with them, I'll die ;) I've heard they are really really nice/funny guys as well...not to mention all the other bands that are gonna be there, good god. I'm excited to see The Memphis Morticians again...you're gonna have so much fun! I'm just gonna go nuts.

Tell me when and how much! And I have accomodations set, if needed! Turn Pale rocked my world, by the way.

1) Since you declined my offer, I want to have the lead singer of Turn Pale's baby. You still were DJ Goddess of the Universe, though, but not only did his band rock, but that motherfucker has some stage presence.

2)I have reknewed respect for Death Rock and the like. It was waning for the while, but if Turn Pale only jumpstarted it, The Brides ripped it out of it's cozy chair and threw it into the middle of a firefight. Not only that, but both bands seemed like really cool individuals. If I've been to a Dawning where I danced this hard without one BOOMP BOOMP BOOMP Beedeeoh Beedeedee Bee Dee tune blasting through the speakers, (save for "Never Trust a Klingon," which should be a genre all its own) I surely cannot remember it.

3) Um. . . I really don't have a third thing to say, but I started using numbers and it'd be kinda silly to only have two points, so. . . uh. . . last night rocked! Thanks be to you and all those who helped put it on. DAWNING GOOD!!!!!!

I'm in agreement with you, I wanna have his baby! He was *so* nice and cute, *meow* and he touched my butt! That may have been by accident, but who cares! ;) If they ever play close by again, I'm driving!
