I'm at work [Coyote] from 3-7, then I'm OFF TO SEE MODERN ENGLISH and BELLA MORTE @ Starr Hill Music Hall. I invite anyone who can tag along [and afford it; tickets are $14, eek] to come out and make The Mortes feel at home [that would include singing "riding Gopal Metro" and mocking them, as well as dancing and cheering].
Whoop-dee-doo. Should be fun, even if I'm all alone. There will definitely be some WNRN representation, though, as Myke Reiser will be there too.

Tee hee!

Basically, it is all the same as the original words that Berlin wrote for "The Metro", but in the chorus, we sing "riding Gopal Metro" instead of "riding ON THE metro".

Gopal insisted tonight that, despite what the front row claims, those are not the correct words. We, of course, disagreed loudly. So did the rest of the band. ;)

btw - your icon makes me giggle!

Review forthcoming, but I will say that if you can get to see Modern English, do so. They played a lot of new stuff, ut they were so please by the general attitude of Cville to dance to whatever the band's playing - even if it isn't the "hit song" by the band - that they just plain rocked. You could tell they loved us as much as we loved them!

Wish I could be there, but have too much to accomplish. I might not be able to flyer tomorrow either, due to a planning meeting for work. (And I thought one of the reasons I took this job because it had LESS hours than my last one. . .)

Crap. I missed you there tonight - you would have loved it - and I'm going to miss you tomorrow if you can't make that, too. Good news is that it is supposed to be possibly over 100 degrees tomorrow, so that's a good reason to skip the flyering ;)

Hey now. When I *open* the store, I'm there by ELEVEN AM.

No, really.

Stop laughing. ;)

Thank you for the lovely compliment! It is terribly obvious that I'm grinning like a loon that just met one of her idols. And to top it off, he insisted in taking pictures with me, so I was just floating. Hee!
