I got up incredibly late - 2:30pm, eek, although I didn't go to sleep last night until well after 5am the night before... Sat around for an hour with Stu and M, just babbling, then ordered a pizza for breakfast and ate it outside on the brick patio. It was lovely.
After that, I tackled the garden some more. Managed to get the entire section in front of the windows finished, leaving only the long bed under the grape arbor to dig out. I discovered raised beds, a lovely series of brick stepstones, some errant paperwhites, and a lot more space than I realized. Of course, I keep saying that, but every time I get a section cleared, it gets bigger looking :) Tomorrow while I'm at work at Coyote, I think I'll be mapping out exactly where each plant section is going to be placed. I won't have time again to work on anything until thursday, and even then I won't have a lot of time [as [livejournal.com profile] nothingoth and I are going to DC on thursday evening for the Flesh Field show. Yes, I know. They're playing here on saturday. I'm like that. I like to get a preview!]
So tomorrow, at Coyote. Then I'm probably going to the grocery store [whee] and then I'll be here making flyers and handbills. The exciting life of Xiane, hoowhee.
To those who were so sweet to me this past week... I really really appreciate you. Thank you so much. You guys get me through the day.

i did a little work on the "garden" in my small front yard, yesterday. the previous owner of our house had some of those atrocious wood barrels with tulips in them, so i put tulips all over the house, and overturned the barrels. gardening is much harder than it seems, dont you think? i thought if i just stuck a seed in the ground it might pop up flowers. actually, i still kind of think that. you should come out here some time soon, im trying to plan an entire back yard rose and ivy crawling extravaganza, i could use someone with a little experience. :) ps: miss talking to you, email me some time.

I'm very much of the mind that if you pull up the weeds and put down seeds, things will grow. Convincing my garden of that has been amusing, to say the least! I like the idea of tulips everywhere rather than clumped up in tubs... I like thinking that next year, you won't remember where you put them, so they'll be like a flower surprise.
I have much more free time coming up soon, as the club season slows down and the students get the hell out of dodge. I still need to see your lovely and beautiful house! I'm hoping that I'll get the hearse here soon so that I can get it on the road, and then I'll be able to visit much more.
What kinds of roses do you want to plant? I loooooove roses.

yeah, i heard you got the hearse! ooh, my saturn and i burn with jealousy, but will try to control it. :)

im thinking...any roses that will climb all the fuck over the place. we have like three porches, and one of them has lattice on it, and i want little roses crawling through that. seriously romantic. i just want a huge overgrown garden that popped out of an old british movie.
