clean clean clean.
4 April 2003 22:42Been puttering around, trying to make sense of this mess of a house. I know that if I just put my mind to it, I can make everything fit perfectly together, like puzzle pieces, and our lives here will be that much better. *_*
Started cleaning out my porch. For those who have not seen my house, my porch [as opposed to the front porch, which is a run-down, torrid Victorian affair] is a screened-in affair that faces my back yard - basically, my private entrance to my part of the house. It has been stuffed full of crap left over from the previous tenant: paint cans, car maintenance supplies, tools, weird old toys, fishing rods. I found shotgun shells, several soap dishes, golf balls, a bamboo pole, some free weights, and more tile grout than any man needs. I managed to throw a lot of old crap out, rearrange the stuff that should probably stay, and sweep everything. I fixed a storm windowpane that was falling out of its track, and I made the whole space much more pleasant and usable. Yeah!
In between picking at that chore, I had a pleasant visit from
krasota [who obviously cannot get enough xianetime, hee] and
explodingcat. Boy sang a song he's working on that I thought was completely excellent. We chatted for a bit, then they wandered further on in their walk and I finished up my task, emboldened by magical caffiene. Yay!
Now I'm considering if I should continue on and work on the "spare" room [currently mostly my closet], or work online on web crap, etc...?
I should eat food first, I think. Yes, this sounds sensible. I get a lot done when I'm all alone, wow.
