My paid status expires in like 11 days. I'm considering just letting it run out.
Not that I'd get rid of this journal - too many memories here, too many friends. However, I'm broke, and the money I do have could be spent on better things - especially the amount they're asking for these days for a frickin' paid journal. Meh.

Feeling a little under the weather today, which I would attribute greatly to the bits of rain that we finally got here. Drought sucks but my sinuses seem to love it. O_o

Stayed up last night until about 5am working on a forum phpbb-style board for a street team I'm on, as a favour to the leader. She was having trouble navigating everything, and I'd just set one up for the Etsy Green and Clean Guild, so that worked out well. I will be able to work on some EGCG stuff tonight, and I need to inventory and [meep] do my taxes! It's just a little bit of A Day In The Life Of Xiane over here.

What *do* I do with my day, you ask? Well, I get up and stumble around for at least an hour. That's a requirement. Usually [livejournal.com profile] squeegee_cat and I have pettins time and then I have breakfast and coffee while I catch up on the millions of emails, convos, and messages I need to read to start my day. I check for orders, and mentally prepare myself for those if I have 'em. I wake Rob up, and we get dressed, chat, think about his "first meal" and my "second meal" if it's time for that.
After mealing it up, we come home and Rob gets ready to work, and I pack orders, work on website stuff, make products and all the things that go with that like labels and the like, take care of things around the house. Maybe if I'm lucky I'll get to spin or knit, but I don't usually get to do that until the cat is asleep against Rob around 9 or 10pm. This routine continues until I go to sleep around 4am or so, sometimes later. There's a third meal in there, too.

So yeah, that's my exciting life.

Pettins time at my house happens immediately after I turn my alarm clock off. There's an inevitable "Mrr?" by the side of the bed and then Bryony jumps up, saunters over, and flops down on my arm, purring loudly. Of course then I must pet her instead of getting up. It's problematic. Sometimes I fall back asleep. :)

Heheee. This sounds familiar. Squeegee also tries to wake me up several times before I'm ready, just so I can pet him and cuddle. He's taken to flopping down on the pillow by my face, burying his head under my chin, and kneading my neck [ouch!] before falling asleep for a bit. This immediately puts me right back to sleep, too!

I think that the era of the paid journal went bye-bye when they raised the prices and I got a job that sucks the time away from me. :D
Y'know, I've had and had not - and one makes me appreciate the other and vice versa. We're not in a horrible place, just one that requires a lot of effort from me right now. That's not such a bad thing. :)

I keep waking up at 3am. Just felt like sharing that for some reason. I guess the oddness of the hours. I don't mean to wake up of course...I just do.

Anyway, I had a response related to this post but I can't remember it...damn. Oh well. :)

*answers forgotten response with vague positive-sounding mutterings* :D

That happens to me sometimes, the random waking at a given time, usually when I have a LOT on my mind or on my plate. It's like my brain is saying "GET UP WORK ON STUFF."

I try my best to ignore my brain when it gets uppity like that. If I don't, it'll get the idea that it is in charge. :D

I have that same thing, although as of the day before, it was every 4 hours and a few days before that, every 2 hours. I'm not doing so well with the stress...

Heh, your life sounds ever so slightly more exciting than mine. :-3

On the topic of your "Paid" status expiring, have you considered down-grading to a "Plus" account? It's free, and it supposedly has added features from the "Regular" status (though I'm not really sure what those features are). And what does LJ even charge for a "Paid" account?

Hope you feel better soon! Meghan's been a tad under the weather lately, too.

I need advice on hair dying. I posted about it here.

Thanks so much!

Lately, I find myself wishing for a simple life like that. I'm so sick of being a student right now that I just want to leave and work in a cafe and not think about schooling anymore.

I still have my dream of opening up a pastry/coffee/bookshop, but know that if I leave school after this year, I won't be able to get back in. :o/
