I am SO annoyed.

This was me, after my car stopped smoking.
There are some other cool "my engine luckily didn't blow up shots" at my flickr, great for people who like to look at heat-seared gears and things. Luckily for me, I had my camera handy! [and my cell phone!]

My A/C compressor died, after evidently having a long series of issues that my ^(#*&(#@*&# local dealership was too inept to catch. That's why I needed to have the serpentine belt and the battery replaced - the dying compressor weakened them both. That wet-looking stuff is actually melted rubber from my brand new belt. O_o

I have a new a/c compressor now, to the tune of $950. My Jeep has been running really well, save for one funny noise on cold start-up. I need to find a dependable local repair place :/

I considered calling or texting you, but by the time I found out I had to stay overnight, I was a complete and utter mess. At that point I'd been awake for about 32 hours straight and wasn't fit for anything but crying and showering and trying to sleep. It was SAD. Sad.

I know you would have come, though. :)

Car trouble is always horrible, especially in extreme weather. I'm glad you were able to make it for your trip.

It was sketchy, but I made it. I was really unsure how things were going to go down and *really* surprised when it all worked out!
