omg.

Spent all evening updating my webpage at threeravens.net.
It took a while, but all the links are correct - if there's something that isn't, it wasn't without a huge struggle by me to catch all the changes!

I'm liking how it looks now. All I have to fix is the affiliates links page. Yay!

Some of my friends placed orders with me tonight. You know who you are. And you know that I love you. Without my friends... I'd be lost.

Seriously, you guys - I'm actually making this work! I set a goal for myself for January - by the end of the month I wanted to have 100 people mark my shop as a favourite on Etsy... and I wanted to have a total of 30 sales there.

I'm now up to 111 hearts and 36 items sold! I still have a few days left! Do you think I can make 40 sales? *dance*

I feel like this is becoming quite the viable occupation. I have some plans to have a big batch of new flavors of Lip Bliss up soon, and I have a couple of other ideas for items brewing in my head. I'm really only limited by my imagination and available materials. If you have a wish list, now would be the time to mention it and see if it is possible for me to make it!

Thank you so much, everyone who has been so supportive of me. You are so appreciated...

you amaze me..
if I had a job, I'd order.
And you have inspired me to try my hand aswell, but I'm not quite ready yet to start..I'm reasearching and testing natural (edible) products for skin and hair care.

I'm glad to hear that you're interested in making your own! If there's anything I can tell you, ask away.
Best piece of advice I can give is that remember that any products that contain water [that includes shampoos, conditioners, and lotions] need some sort of preservative if you're not going to keep them in the fridge or expect them to hang out for any length of time. That's one of the things that keeps me from selling lotions! I don't want to mess with the preservatives, ugh.
Ingredients I love that are edible include honey, apple cider vinegar, oatmeal, brown sugar. Yum!

thank you.. sage advice!!
Yeah I don't think I want to worry about preservatives either.
One thing for sure is a natural dry shampoo, of course it's a pet project of mine due to my water problem.
Being a Cosmetologist I really think more of hair care than skin, but sometimes they go together.
I'm still in the collecting and testing stages though.

woo hoo!!

Oooh! You got one of those, excellent! You really can't go wrong with oatmeal and honey, yum yum. You should always be able to eat your body products! :D

I did some researchon the Tilleul Oil. Man, is that hard to find! Just for your further research, it is known in this country as Linden Flower Oil or Lime Flower Oil - I use Linden flowers in some of my products, but they're dried and not as fragrant. I found several bath products with tilleul oil, but the only place I've found so far to purchase it has been here:

I have NO idea how their service is, but they do have a lot of oils listed.

Azure Green has Rain oil, though I don't know how good it is - I can't do much smelling of the synthetic oils, which most fragrance oils are - 'm allergic. Try http://www.azuregreen.com/ - they're hippie-pagan people, I've been dealing with them for 20 years or so. :)

I'll keep looking for tilleul oil, see what else I can find. I want to smell it, too! :D

THANKS a billion, I didn't mean to send ya on a wild-goose chase!
BAck in the day, Kiehl's used to have their own herbalist and 'potions lady', as I called her, at their store in Manhattan. The oils were NOT cheap, but they were top grade and heavenly. The tilleul I have is from (gawd, I don't even want to say!) 'a few years ago'...ha! and still smells as great now as it did when I bought it. I stupidly used all of the Rain without making sure I could get more...

I'll check out the sites, and THANKS again!

awh. how are you doing labels for stuff? do you make your own?

Right now I use a couple of approaches, depending on what the container is. I either print out things on little mailing labels [for scent tinctures, for example] or I design and print out labels on regular paper and use a Xyron sticker maker to make them into sticky labels. Eventually I'll branch out to "real" labels, when I can afford/need to. These work pretty well, though! I like being able to make them on the fly as needed.

Oooh, yay! If you go to order the balm or anything else and it is marked as sold out, let me know and I'll get it up there for you. I've got a lot of orders suddenly rolling in, so sometimes things get marked as out very quickly even if I have more here! :)
