Dear [livejournal.com profile] squeegee_cat,

At five-crack-of-dawn-a.m. NO ONE IS AWAKE. Not even your toy mouses.
Take note of this and either go to sleep or at least stop digging for said mouses between the bed and wall at that ungodly hour.

Otherwise, I may have to eat you.

*grumble-snort*,
Momma aka provider of kibble.

Yes, I've been awake since five. Mleah. I dunno what's in the air, but he's been unusually obnoxious in the early morning lately. I was hoping he'd grown out of it [ha!] but this new "dig for mouses" thing just HAS to go.

I don't know why, but kittens seem to get a little obnoxious in the mornings when they get a bit older, at least in my experience....mine used to latch onto my foot and chew on my toes. Woke me up real good O_o

arg and ow! O_O

Squeegee used to attack our feets under the covers when he first got here, but he seems to have gotten over that, thankfully. Now he just gets the midnight crazies and the five a.m. nutters. :D

My boys have been unusually feisty as well. Normally Boogie is the official chaser-of-fairy-mice (random expolosions of run!run!run!FREEZE!run!run!run!) but now Pinky is doing the same thing, which he's never done before. This confuses the fussy Leather, who doesn't like loud, sudden things from Pinky, so on the whole, the apartment is goo-goo-shit-crazy as far as the KitKat club is concerned.

maybe because it's almost Cat'oWeen....

The random explosion thing? That's SO what the Big Squeege does. Hilarious! Sometimes I can instigate the bowed-tail-curved-back-sideways-hop thing, and that is also a riot to watch. :D

This apartment couldn't handle TWO crazy critters. As is, I get tripped all the time. It is the Nutters Zone around here.

There definitely must be something in the air. Cat'oWeen!

Do you have anything that he can amuse himself with while you attempt to sleep? Have you seen the treat balls? Where the cat has to work out how to get the treats? I also knew a lady once who hid treats around the house at night, so that the cat had something to look for, rather than, say, eating coffee machines, or toes.

Mani/my lot have a huge toy box. We make a point of putting everything back into it at night, with his favorite toy at the bottom, so it takes him a while to find it, and keeps him busy, with everything he finds first.

One thing's for sure... he's not lacking in character! LOL! <3's squeegee.

Hehee. Squeegee has a toy box, too. I gather the toys up at night, and in the morning, they're all over the place.

I know that part of this is that I haven't had quite enough time to play with him intensely at night, so he's bored. When we play for an hour or so before bed, he often will sleep for most of the night, curled up against me. Once the pagan pride festival is over, I'll be able to dedicate a little more time to wearing him out! He's so horribly co-dependent on me, he HAS to be wherever I am. That gets disastrous sometimes when I'm making the smelly stuff.. or dinner. [he has to try to help!]

I wonder if those treat-trap toys would hold his interest. His favourite things to play with require a human at the other end, like things on strings or mouse fetching. He's partial to a ball enclosed in a track, but I have to do things like put a paper bag on top to really get him into it. O_O Such a weirdo.

I feel sorta bad for him when he tries to wake me up by dropping the mouse next to my head. Eventually he'll get tired of trying to wake me up and he'll throw the mouse in the trash next to the bed! :D

Maybe he's lonely and needs a friend to play with?

You cannot send us Rumor. :D

In a way, I wish we had room for two cats. I think he would have liked having a friend here a lot. However, he's SO spolied now... I don't know what he would think. And if he convinced the other cat to participate in his destructive ways... the apartment would never survive!

I would dearly love to ship Rumor off when she starts her whining at the door routine after sunrise and can't decide if she wants to be in our out. Too bad she's really aggressive with other cats.

I'm hoping, for your sake, that he's just young, and thinks you're his Mommy, or his playmate. Hell, a girl needs some sleep! LOL!

the treat traps might work, but only if he's one of those hungry kitties. Perhaps if you took his food away at night, and left a treat trap?

Sounds cruel, but it could keep him busy for hours! LOL!

The things you've been posting about your furry charge remind me oh-so-much of some other furry critter we know and love. :D

It wouldn't be so bad if we could nap on and off all day like they can! :D
