xianeSometimes, I almost find doing the Modern Rock thing rewarding. Tonight, for example, I had the nicest phone call from someone who told me that my show tonight was one of the best ones he'd heard in a long time on NRN. Keep in mind, this is just from the songs I get to pick that fill out the sets between the songs in rotation! I personally had liked my selection pretty well, so I was doubly thrilled. Yay!
Anyway, that's my little blurb about that. Yes, I'm silly. But it is the little things that keep you going, especially when you're doing a shift that sometimes is truly thankless.
Oh, and it does look as if I get to go see The Mission [and Drowning Season! YES! Matt's the sweetest] after all. Tiny DJ says she'll switch shifts w/ me during the fundraiser so that I can go and possibly get the interview. Now I just need to arrange a ride.
