I forgot to mention - JoAnn's is having a 50% off of HALLOWEEN STUFF sale right NOW.

I bought a cauldron-shaped basket and a skeleton on a stake. There's SO! Much! GOOD! Stuff! there right now!

I went to the "SuperStore" - which I didn't even know that's what it was, surprise surprise - and it was jam-packed. I managed to buy some clearance yarn and some circular needle sets while I was there, though. I'm taking the advice of ez_mo and attempting to make my projects on those and see if it's as comfy as I've heard. After making the Big Red Thing, I could get into keeping the bulk of my project in a centralized location [rather than hanging off the end of a needle.]

OMG i just drove right by one and i didn't think to go in!!! augh!!!

i have a (straight) male friend visiting me tomorrow for lunch and i am going to have to tell him that that is where we are going. :) guys just love fabric stores.

You know, I never realised that the look they get on their faces the closer we approached to the fabric store was actually one of *joy*

Now I know that I need to take all my guy friends there Every Single Time I go! I'll bring joy to every single boy!

Oh I much prefer the circular needles - less pain for someone with chronic neck/shoulder issues, such as myself. You'll have to let me know what you think of them. After one scarf done on circular, I got rid of all my straight needles, as I just can't use 'em.

I bought two pair of circulars, both Clover's bamboo ones. I am so addicted to the feel of bamboo needles, I just *had* to. I'll definitely let you know what I think. I suspect it'll make a lot more sense to me.

I particularly want a needle case, and I couldn't find a one. There were SOOO many people there, though - I might go back tomorrow during the day.

Although the way I'm stocking up on yarn, I might need a new bag, too. ;)

They had about three different shapes in three colors, IIRC. At first I thought the largest one was a purse, but on opening it was obvious that some of the interior pockets were meant for needles. Almost enough to make me wish I could knit.

whatcha gonna be?

my roomie and i have arranged a 10 person costume scheme!
she and i are mr and mrs pacman. 4 friends are blinky pinky inky and sue. 2 friends are holding boomboxes with pacman music playin. and 2 are the cherries/oranges/strawberry. :P

we're gonna run around downtown in costume, chasing each other, and theyre gonna flip their sheets around, and then we'll chase them. :D

maybe i should get someone to video tape it.
