"something witty"
6 November 2004 23:14So.
Woke up around Noon, thanks to
briskpepper - thank goodness, too, because Mom called me FIFTEEN MINUTES later from THE END OF THE STREET. "Hi, we're here!"
"Um... you were supposed to call once you were on the road."
"Well, we made GREAT time!"
O_O
Soooo... luckily I'd slept in my clothes [I was freeeezing last night!] and was able to roll out of bed and immediately start packing all my worldly possessions into my Mom and Aunt's cars. Had lots of help from Stu and
audiorapture, while the rest of the Raptures watched and chatted with us.
And we were back on the road by 12:45.
That's why I didn't call anyone; I barely had time to brush my teeth. I was completely in a daze.
I'm sorry.
"The road is fucking hard, the road is fucking tough.
There's no question that it is rough, rough stuff. "
Well - it was long and boring. Some traffic. Overall, the hard part was unloading, as all the stuff we'd had guys to help us put IN we had to take OUT ourselves. I have stuff everywhere now, my room is STILL full of Mom's workout equipment and other crap and is in no way ready for me to actually move in, and that's frustrating... but I've piled some things, and I'm going to try and get a wireless router tomorrow and set up the network and get started in making this place feel like I live here too.
Assorted notes:
Cvillians, when Panera Bread opens, you should frequent it. LOTS of low-carb options, too!
I miss everyone greatly.
The impromptu send-off party V.2 was awesome. No puking, either!
Baltimore still smells weird.
I left some stuff behind that I wasn't planning to. That sucked.
I'm hoping that everything gets better for everyone really soon.
All I could think about was "people better go to The Dawning!"
I'll be trying to set up my computer tomorrow. I'll be online as much as I can. You can still reach me by my cell phone, but try to only call in emergencies/neediness, because I'm now officially roaming.
I love you guys.
