Night Of The Living SubShock

So. This is it.
This is the moment that the spooky folk all over the land wait anxiously for... and we've got a SubShock tonight! Eeeee!

And WHAT a SubShock I've got lined up for you! Not only all the spooky holiday-related tunes you can imagine, but also GUEST DJ Spinmistress Sugar Hiccup [formerly of Everyday Is Halloween in Lynchbug VA, how appropiate is THAT?] Add to the madness my New Hosts-in-Training Stuart Templeton and Patrick Allen [briskpepper and solieri, respectively], to make things SUPER scary.

Not only that, this is my THIRD ANNIVERSARY with SubShock! And... it's my last live show. You'll hear me next week, but it's pre-recorded...  so NOW is the time to call in any last-minute Sooper-Spooky Halloween requests and actually talk to *me* on the phone!

Last night = the Perfect Halloween Send-off Ever.

Some highlights of the evening, no particular order:

* great crowd, with lots of people I haven't seen in ages
*  Ninja Panda
* baobh surprising the hell out of me by showing!
*  full dance floor for both the obvious stuff AND some silly shit I spun
* dj_vortex rocks the house!
* nothingoth does, too!
* Certain nameless, wonderful people standing before the crowd to say nice things about me <3
* My name in the new In Tenebris CD [thank you so much]
* Only really wanting to cry once - everything was so wonderful, it kept me from being too maudlin
* xymoxed dressed as Dorothy, complete with Toto!
* I had FOUR seperate people, two of whom are DJs, compliment me on a mix. O_o that was so cool.
* Had a blast DJing.
* Super costumes!
* People said lovely things to me all night, and I had sooo many hugs.
* So many people came, too many to name, but I love you all.

I'm going to miss you all SO much. I mean what I say, though - it's up to all of you to keep coming out, keep putting effort into things, keep the enrgy alive. Eveyone credits me for this, and I stand firm by what I say: without YOU, none of this can happen. I was merely a curator. You are the reason this all exists. 

I've promised - and will keep that promise - I'll be back to visit. I have a week left here, and will be trying to spend as much time with friends as I can. I will keep in touch, because you are all my other family. I will keep involved - from here - but it's allll on you now to keep it awesome.  :D

Just wanted to take a sec, before typing up all the last-night goodness, to send a special thank you to Mr. Panda Ninja. You showing up really meant something to me, even if I didn't manage to convey that at the moment you were chatting with me. [I was in my own little world of maudlin remembrances] Even better was seeing you on the dance floor, for at least one lovely moment...thank you. That was awesome.
