15 March 2002 01:09Wow. A fun as hell night.
Work crawled by - being as it was at least 70 degrees today, the Soup was not a popular place - and then 1830 rolled around, and
nothingoth and
payback showed up, so we could catch some dinner then go flyering. We hit Hog Heaven [BBQ rules but this place was not up to standard], then went to the UVa district to start the quest. We were armed with staplegun, large roll of tape, and 100 assorted red and white flyers; the image is of a girl's ass with a thong, comprising the "T" of Terminal Ready, the band that's playing this weekend. Good for us that we spent the evening hanging pictures of a girl's ass up all over UVa. We got coffee, we plastered walls and bulletin boards, we were silly and obnoxious... we had a good time. We ended up Downtown, at Miller's at first, thinking we would play some pool - until we realized that half the scenesters in town had the same idea. We ended up sitting in front of The Regal on borrowed chairs, chatting about a variety of subjects and trading funny stories, until we were too tired and cold to carry on.
I really prefer low-impact, relaxed and congenial evenings like this.
