Went to bed early, for me - 2:30a. Woke up with [livejournal.com profile] briskpepper, at 7a. WTF?

My name's on the DJ list at the Drop Dead II page! YAY! I feel all official now. My first out of state DJ gig!

In the sublimely silly department: [livejournal.com profile] coreygorey and D.W. Friend are at it again, this time with the darkest acoustic coffeehouse music you'll ever hear, as Black Black Caffiene. You want it? It's FREE at http://www.soundclick.com/bands/9/blackblackcaffeinemusic.htm.

Got a Goteki CD, Goteki O/S, in the mail yesterday, from LD50 Entertainment. They've got a remix album of it all out called Corrupted Files, but I didn't seem to get that. Weird. It's good stuff, and I'm wondering what the remixes sound like. [livejournal.com profile] pizza_tram, is that the one you got in the mail direct from Wasp Factory? I'm wondering if that'll be waiting for me at NRN.

Finding that CD in my PO Box was a bit of a surprise, as I'm actually waiting for a pair of Purple UV reactive crescent shaped plugs to show up... they were supposed to have gone out on friday, so that means they SHOULD be here by now. I'm hoping they're not totally ridiculous on me ;)

I should eat something. I'm never up this early! My brain doesn't know what to do with itself!

ps - look for an announcement very soon regarding The Dawning. Oooh, the excitement!

I think he may be hooked as well

Yep, same CD. I actually got it from LD50 as well, but he said he was working with Wasp Factory to distribute CDs in the US and Canada.

Thanks [livejournal.com profile] xiane and [livejournal.com profile] originalcynic for the kind words. Because that BlkBlkCaff is supposed to be D-U-M-B...I guess if you make it past the first track you'll have figured that out, right?

You know that's why we like it, right?

Here in Cville, dumb music gets BIG points. ;)

We should be getting service from them directly, I've been in touch and they sent us stuff before - I'll re-activate FIRM e-mail contact (translation = I'll bug them more!) and we'll see where it goes!

We shoulda been born there then.

By the way, Bella's playing in the city (which for us is still NYC) but we have to not go as it has become 2 hours south, which translates to $40 on the train $40 to get in, and then having to crash on someone's floor to leave in the morning. Bah! Difficulties...

Did you ever get to that new club in Charlottesville that does mostly shows only?

Thought I'd bring up their site for a sec to see what all the fuss was about.

They have some samples of the rmx album on their site... they're quite good.

If the album is half this good, I'm going to have to snag a copy of it too. Thanks for sharing this one with us!

I'm still working on opening our new club... it is going to take a bit, as the delightful Commonwealth of VA likes to throw red tape at us at every turn. You wouldn't believe the liquor laws here O_O
Wanna play a benefit show? Of course, it would be really freakin' expensive for you guys to come down here and not make any money, but a girl can dream.
Looks like if things go to plan, we'll be open around summertime. Cross your crossy things.
