Don't ever talk shit about the scene here, or I will kick your ass. I say this not because someone *was* talking shit, but because the people that make up the crowd of The Dawning were incredibly generous and supportive... they rose to the challenge of making the second-to-last week the best fucking night ever.

Big thanks go out to some especially generous people - you know who you are! - and everyone who gave extra.

Also, thanks go to everyone who made tonight delightful - Silent Muse, DJs Ju5t1ce and Ki-9, and every single person who came out.
I am so very thankful for our scene here.

Awesome! Does that include the $36.60 that somebody paid for a date with DJ Ju5t1ce? Oh, and just for the record, some of us are saving up and planning on making a bigger contribution next week at the Wake next week.

See, the Dawning's not going to be dead, except maybe in a fashionable Gothy sort of way that wears pale makeup and plans a really kickass "Back from the Dead" party for when it crawls out of the ground to haunt Charlottesville again someday soon... ;-)
