The Dawning was amazing tonight.

In Tenebris and Krieg Der Kinder rocked it out.

Rift and I made 'em dance.

I got up and said my little piece on the imminent end of the Tokyo Rose era, and people responded well.

We got almost $300 in donations. That's a respectable start towards our goals.

I have set some wheels in motion, and we can only hope that they take us where we need to go. Monday, I might know more. Until then, I'll keep brainstorming.

Can everyone on The Dawning staff meet up on Wednesday night? If you got the original, locked post about goings ons, you should consider yourself staff. Let me know.

I'm exausted. Seeing Tammy, Rachael, and Brad made me happy. And Kristy and Jay. I wish I'd had more time.
Sleep.

I don't know if this place is still empty (or exists), but I think there used to be space off 250 before you get to Boarshead--it's on the left in the same place as the Bel-Air service station, kind of an industrial looking little group of buildings. But a while ago one of the buildings was used as a club (I know someone who played there). It may be worth looking into? Let me know if I can help with anything else.

Sorry--that's "on the left" if you're coming from out of C-ville where I live. Right, obviously, if coming from town.

I get off work anywhere between 8 and 9, depending on how busy it is. . . Hope that won't make this run too late.

Yes, it was an awesome night (great music!), and I was particularly pleased to see the way that everybody got the optimistic take on this (this is the impetus we needed to move on and get a space that we can really call our own) and people didn't seem too bogged down with the temporary-setback side of this (crap, no Dawning for a little while). Props to you for putting a good spin on this, and I will be trying to encourage all of my other friends that ever go to the Dawning that they need to come out for the next 3 weeks and put a little somethin' in the "offering plate" while they're there. ;-)

Good luck to you and the rest of the staff-folks as you figure out what's happening next, and please keep the rest of us posted like you've been doing. Thanks!

Hon, usually when people just ask Chris, she's got no qualms about letting people Deejay for the night!

I did, and it was GREAT. =)
