I'm having a really hard time getting it together today.
I had an awful dream this morning, about a woman who had somehow gained the power to be able to smite anyone from any distance... she took it upon herself to remove a good chunk of the population from the planet. Some of my friends will probably be cheering at this point, but you have to understand: she'd gotten ahold of birth records and was going through them fairly systematically. No one had any idea if they were going to be chosen or not, you just had to wait for your year of birth to come up. There was no way to predict if your loved ones would go, or you. People were milling around, panicked or depressed.
mbickers took me to a Sanrio store to try and cheer me, figuring tiny products from japan with cute characters would at least make me smile. I ate chicken and home fries with my ex Angry Rob's family, as we all clung to the people we loved the best. I tried to find all of my friends, but most communication was down, and people were *everywhere*. I couldn't find
briskpepper at all, or anyone in my house. At one point, I was in a tunnel talking to people, trying to get news on what was really happening, and a man disappeared right next to me, with a pop as he was sucked out of existance. That freaked me out more than almost anything in the dream. I still can't shake it!
Tonight, of course, is The Dawning.
audiorapture and myself will be spinning, a cross-genre treat of electronica and goth rock/industrial. Or something like that. I don't have high hopes for a huge attendence tonight, although in holiday weekends, one can never tell. No matter what, it'll be FUN. Right? Right.
I need a huge cup of motivation, please.
