Ugh. I am *tired*. What a long, pleasant, and rewarding weekend! Saturday was just badass: I did my first real soundcheck, couldn't get [livejournal.com profile] solieri's vox together on the board, but everything else gelled. I'm feeling like I could do this, eventually. I don't want to, but if I need to do it, I'll learn. Sound people, I need sound people! I have two willing volunteers, [livejournal.com profile] daq42 and [livejournal.com profile] audiorapture, but Jim is often busy with real work, and Jason has a baby due around April. That means that we need someone else - that isn't me - to cover any bases and eventually step up to do a good amount of the work. Any takers? I need someone I can count on to be there almost every week, someone who wants to do it and has the aptitude too. Everything will come together, given time, but I'm wishing that once again there wasn't a bit of crisis. Eh, another day in the life of a club promoter/manager/herder. O_o

There's not much about Saturday that I could say that others haven't, so let's leave it at: I got up on stage and danced at the end of the Silent Muse show. [livejournal.com profile] mrjustice's sets were so good that the last one - the last half hour of the night - I danced the entire time. There were an awful lot of drunken/high people there. They were funny. I was very sober, and not even caffienated. I was full of sashimi. I went home and couldnt sleep, lying in bed for two house until I dropped off around 6 am.
Sunday: woke up, lazed about until around... 1:30? Came downstairs to find [livejournal.com profile] briskpepper talking to [livejournal.com profile] audiorapture, [livejournal.com profile] ez_mo, and [livejournal.com profile] babyrapture. We ended up hanging out around my dining room table until 4:30 or maybe 5p. We were lazy! I drank decaf coffee [shut up], played with Anton [lots of magnet throwing and rubber ball bouncing], talked with the adults about everything under the sun. What a lovely, pleasant day! Unfortunately for me, I developed a headache midway through - one of those blinding, nauseating ones - and that made it fuzzy around the edges. I attribute it to the lack of sleep, smoke in the club last night, and rainy weather. Advil and some hard boiled eggs banished it eventually.

For those who have asked, the low-carb thing is going well. Tomorrow will be the start of week two, and so far, I haven't really felt restricted or annoyed. I have to remember to keep a low-carb bar on me at all times, jut in case I get stuck somewhere and get hungry, but that's no hardship. I have more energy! I haven't had a caffiene craving in days, and I have stopped sleeping for horribly long periods of time. I think I can get the hang of this.

Tomorrow, I will try very ard to crank out some words on the NaNoWriMo. Hopefully I will keep focused and there won't be too many distractions, other than the usual "I'm at work" ones that I have to meet with a smile, being that I'll actually be at work and all that. I'm hoping to catch up a bit; I didn't get a thing done this weekend. Eh. No biggie.

Oh yeah - SubShock, oh my. The phones were ringing off the hook non stop! I have a whole list of people I should thank for calling and saying hello, but I'm tired and you know who you are. [livejournal.com profile] sublime8ball, I'll play the Diary Of Dreams next week.
Okay. I go sleep now. Talk to you all tomorrow.

Just coming out and having fun is important too! Without people to enjoy everything, we wouldn't have a reason to do this.

Heh, you sound fantastic. I love that you come off like a whirling, scintillating cloud of activity and are keeping all your plates spinning. I'm sure your insider opinion is something else, but I'm charmed by your life.

See, I carefully edit from the retelling all the parts when the plates have fallen. That makes things look very good, indeed!

Seriously, I like my life. I like having fun and doing things that bring smiles to peoples' faces. It is definitely a whirlwind, though!

Who's playing/djing next week? (22) I'm pretty sure that Ryan and I will be there but I was just wondering. Another thing, when are you gonna be opening the other club?

This weekend is The Screams, with myself and Randy DJing. Next week is AudioRapture and me DJing, no band.

R2 is open, but the first night that's mine is on December 18th. Rift, AudioRapture and myself are DJing the first time, and then it'll be decided as I'm given dates. I'm excited!
