been a long time coming id say. doesnt make it suck any less, but i knew it was just a matter of time.
there are other, similar websites out there. none of them ever quite as cool as the original mp3.com, which has grown to be sorta lame as of late anyway.
It was nice to get coffee and chat with you for a bit. And I hoped you liked Kat (I had an _incredible_ time with him this fri/sat but I'm making an entry about that very shortly).
I'll most definately look for the story you mentioned last night. Tho it may make it easier if you can send me the link.
Hope you have a good evening until I see you tonight at the Dawning. *Hugs*
I like Kat. He left me with a very good impression! GothMom Xiane approves. It was fun getting to hang out and chat. I'm thinking that I'm going to try and start a "not at The Dawning" gatherum for coffee and chat on Tuesdays or something. That sounds like something that would not only be fun, but would promote more togetherness within the scene, if you know what I mean. So many of us come out every week and yet only know a small amount of the other folk.
The stories I have up so far: elerion is the one I was mentioning, which is on the back burner until NaNoWriMo is over, but I think you'll like... and the one I'm writing for NaNo is insleepyouknow, which is also a sort of tale-with-faerie, although not as obviously borrowing from Charles DeLint and Emma Bull. [and Pamela Dean - have you read "Tam Lin"? You need to, if not.] I wear my influences on my sleeve, I fear! The stories are related, by the by, although not importantly so.
Whee! Off to get ready for The Dawning! ps - want to punch some lights buttons tonight?

2003-11-15 16:29 (UTC)I'm planning on getting there at or shortly after 10pm (Jean is driving) so I could help when I get there.
However, if you want me to come earlier, that shouldn't be a prob, just IM PhoukaTrickster or call 434-243-0789 (so I am sure I get your message).
