Hey, when did nature get this great idea to come up with a virus that mimics my usual Vomitus thing? Evil, evil nature.

So I've been reading - amidst the headaches that feel like aneurisms and the nausea - that some of my other friends have been suffering through this, too. Ugh. I woke up this morning at 7:30 to take a romantic tour of the toilet, and managed to drag myself out of bed at a wee bit past 10 to go to work. I felt passably okay, though weak [and powerless, there's a little A Perfect Circle quote for [livejournal.com profile] nothingoth] throughout the day, and I decided that there was no way in hell that I was going to sit through the music meeting tonight. [livejournal.com profile] krasota had come by to hang out, so she and I wandered first to Starbucks - for mocha relief! - then to downtown, where I picked up more hairdye to contribute to my ongoing hair experiment, and a wonderful package from [livejournal.com profile] bloodlossgirl, which contained a mix CD for NaNoWriMo inspirations. That really cheered my day up! Also got a package of flyers from Turn Pale, who are playing The Dawning this weekend. I cannot wait for that show, as they blew everyone out of the water with their awesome performance last time they were here.

Managed to make it home, where I worked on the novel a bit. If you want to read my drek, you can look at [livejournal.com profile] insleepyouknow. I'll put the chapters up as soon as I post this.

Terminal Ready started their band practice - yes, they jam out in our living room, but it isn't as loud as you'd think. I sat around for a bit, but the lack of sleep and return of headache prompted me to go upstairs and curl up on the bed. And I just woke up about 20 minutes ago, so I slept for... 5 hours. That's a bit beyond nap at that point, I suspect. Came downstairs and tried to eat some instant oatmeal with apples and cinnamon, but it tastes wretched to me, at least right now. [livejournal.com profile] krasota, this is the same brand you bought, so do you want it? It just doesn't do it for me.

Ughhhhh. I feel completely gross, and this unseasonable weather isn't helping. What's amusing about this is inside the sick part, there's this chick who is full of energy and ideas. She just can't seem to break free, at least not today. Eh, at least I got some writing done. I've got a little bit over 3300 words. If I can crank out a bunch of pages on Thurs, I can catch up. I'm not going to stress, though, because I feel ill.

Oh, and it looks like no New Model Army show tomorrow, either. Too sick. :( I wouldn't have wanted to see The Cruxies in Richmond, but going to see In Tenebris would have been nice, but I don't see that happening either. Bah. Even guestlisting won't entice me out when I feel this poorly.

Somehow or another, flyering should still be on. Yes, I know. You won't go to see a band that hasn't toured in YEARS, but you'll walk all around a campus posting pieces of paper that will just get ripped down. Logic? Ha. I laugh at your "logic".

Merf. I will probably be awake for a bit longer, as I just popped up from the nap. Maybe I'll get some good writing done while I'm like this...? [ha!]

I'm sorry you're feeling so crappy. We were suppose to get giveaways from Turn Pale for tonight, but we never got any =( Oh well, I will spin them tonight and plug the show at the Dawning.

i think they changed the formula on the oatmeal. i couldn't eat two bites of mine, even after i added more milk, cinnamon, and sugar. it *sucked*. i might actually contact erewhon (that's the brand, right?) to express my discontent.

It left the worst taste in my mouth I've experienced since... well, honestly, since my last vomit trip. It was really that bad. I didn't think you could fuck up oatmeal that badly!

Let us tell them how we feel. :D
