Finished handing candy out, I think; not that this means that I handed out LOTS of candy or anything. About three groups of kids came by. Still, not bad for the little spooky house on the dead end street. Next year, I vow to use the strobes outside or something. We just need to lure them down from the main road a bit.

Made some decorative Dia De Los Muertos images - well, printed out - for The Dawning tomorrow. No, I still don't know what I'm wearing. We have the spooky skeleton to hang up, and we'll have a large altar set up - bring in pictures of your fallen heroes, your loved ones now gone, and place them there for tribute! I want to get some devotional candles tomorrow, and more candy - does anyone want to go over to The Rose with me tomorrow to help decorate?

I should probably make dinner. This has been quite the mellow holiday so far...

I'll help! Would you like to go to Rural Ridge Farm (south of town) for their apple festival tomorrow?

Yay!

I think it'll depend on how early I get to bed ;)
What time were you planning on going? I need to stop at someplace with the lovely mexican candles, and I might need some fake flowers of some sort. I was planning on decorating around 4p, and we're *supposed* to have some help from the awesome UVa goth contingent around then!

I'd probably want to go earlier... between 11 and noon, i think. i need to make my headpiece for the dawning yet, though the rest of my costume is set. i'd have time to take you to a couple shops, i think. i wanted to go hiking tomorrow, but i think my body is telling me NO NO NO.

You live in a place where it's actually difficult to get those sorts of candles? Around here they're in every single chain grocery store in addition to all the little bodegas. I could've gotten you some easily, but shipping might be prohibitively expensive since those things are heavy.

Here's the ones Dingo pointed out:

See what you think. I suspect these might be slightly superior, but I'm unsure :)
