payback were working security at and a coworker of mine borrowed my CDs to spin for... but honestly, I was tired, Bvrn was down and I was worried about him, and I decided that staying home and working on The Dawning webpage while dying my hair was the way to go. I bleached my hair, then put the purple on, per usual, and spent the next three hours working on fixing all the playlist links and making all the previous flyers into jpgs and thumnails. [20 images. I've been a slack-ass.] Went to wash the dye out, and discovered that for some reason or another, it only partially took, and my hair was a lovely shade of purple/brown/blonde/green. ARG. Cursing profusely and kicking things, I reapplied some dye, this time non-custom purple, as I suspect the bottles I blended from might just have been past their prime. By this time, it was almost 2am, and I was exausted... yet I sat there until almost 4, so I could make sure the colour took. What I do for aesthetics is just rediculous. Fucking dumbass. So I get to go in just a moment and see if it actually did take all over evenly, or if I look like I'm a rank amateur at this hairdye thing. D'oh.
Have to go today and run some dull and mundane errands, but at least my night is free; no Dawning tonight. Subverted for some folk-rock shite. Night off for Xiane - fair trade-off in my book.
I should go buy music today, if there's anything new to be bought. I feel like I constantly have to fill out my collection for DJing purposes, so I don't start compiling dull sets... it wouldn't be so tough if I didn't spin every week at WNRN, but I do so I need to keep things interesting. Anyone have recommendations of what I should buy, something new or new to them that they think is supreme and should be spun at a goth/industrial venue?
