16 June 2003 03:23Someone needs to go to bed. But the network hasn't gone down yet! I need to get all the oh-so-important internet activities that I haven't been able to indulge in out of my system!
My name is Xiane, and I'm an addict. *hangs head in shame*
It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't that more than half of the important things I do with my life involved being online in some capacity. Perhaps I need to wean some of my dependence? O_o
Okay. I'll sleep on that idea. That's about all it is good for! Heh.

2003-06-16 04:49 (UTC)Actually, I could see Internet Addicts Anonymous actually happening. "First I just used it for my email, y'know? That and sometimes I'd check the live news updates so I wouldn't have to watch so much television, but then I just started using all that saved time by going to useless places."
"Thank you. Anna-Marie-Nichole-Bobby-Joe-Sue-Jim-Bob-A-Ree-Bop, what's your story?"
"Well, at first I just tried to use at as a way to keep track of my social life. Like, I'd make plans on Instant Messanger or check diaries and journals so I'd know, in, like, and up-to-date fashion, what was totally happening with my friends. But more and more I discovered the Internet was becoming my social life. . ."
"Jesus, you people are pathetic! Do you have any idea how many livejournals I coulda checked instead of listening to all this whining?"
Yeah, see what you started? Good one. I should not be allowed to view the Internet until I've been awake for at least an hour. . .
