xianeI've deleted the community. Not necssarily for good, but there are some things that need to be explained to you people.
1. I AM THE SOLE PERSON MAKING DECISIONS FOR THE DAWNING. Make whatever threats or actions you'd like in your own name, but don't you DARE presume to do it in the name of The Dawning without talking to me first. I'm the one who is ultimately held responsible for it, that's what I agreed to when I took it over. As I'm the one who agreed to the responsibility, I'm the one who gets to make the decisions. That's the way that works. I appreciate everyone's efforts to "mainatin the scene" and do what they think is right, but a lot of people aren't using the cool parts of their emotions right now, and some foolish things are being said. Again, I don't care what your personal beliefs are, but the policy of The Dawning has ALWAYS been to be as fair and unbiased as possible. I only take sides when I feel that the club is endangered by something/one, which leads me to point 2...
2. If you want to know my opinion on Mike Carter, you can ask me yourself. If you want to know The Dawning's opinion on him, you'd BETTER ask me, because very few people seem to know it. He knows what both opinions are, these are no secret to him, we've discussed them before.
3. You wanna defend your club/scene? Shutting down the people with opinions contrary to yours isn't the way to do it. I'll defend to the end the right of anyone to have a differing opinion. Censorship's not going to happen while I'm around if I can help it. I've shut down the community to retain control on that aspect. There will be NO banning of people unless they're obviously not offering opinions, but doing traditional trolling crap like Usenet used to see.
4. I'm not mad at anyone. I'm not pointing fingers. If you want to take this personally, go ahead, but it's not about anyone in particular.

nothingoth, with several house DJs. If you have complaints, feel free to come directly to me with them. If anyone else at all tells you that they're part of The Dawning staff, that is an incorrect statement at this time. No one else has been communicating with me about policy - with the exception of Bri, the maintainer of http://www.thedawning.net, and he's just been doing web design.
