This weekend was defective; I'd like to return it for another, please.
There's a lot of unrest in the land, and it makes me sad. I hate to see my friends unhappy.
I had a makeshift party last night.
agentleman showed up at my door and I happily forced myself to be social and hang out with him. Enticed a
eilonwy and
mbickers to come play with us, whereupon we ogled boots and talked geekery... Cory showed up and put us all to shame in the geekery department [yay! geeks!], and there was also a
javafiend,
briskpepper, and
user here at various points. Not too shabby of a gathering for last minute...
Today, I did a bunch of boring but essential things, and then I went to
subshock. I went a wee bit mad while on the air and played an entire 20 minute set of
coreygorey and D.W. Friend related bands, including The Brickbats, The Brides, Black Black Caffiene, and Rock And Roll Star Destroyer. Needless to say, I got calls on that one. Yes, Corey, they were positive calls. I know you don't believe me, sheesh.
Tomorrow, I'm at work all day [booooring], equipping the world with more spiked collars and Special Effects hairdye while I try to make business calls about the upcoming Benefit Show. Cross your fingers that I can get a lower insurance rate, people! The standard these days seems to be an exorbitant $500 or more!
Screw this, man, I'm going to bed. You go on and stay up if you want to, just turn out the lights when you're done, okay?
