21 September 2003 17:35Last night, you kicked my ass.
Sushi with
briskpepper, Kevin Martin, and
nothingoth, which was delicious... joined eventually by the usual suspects [the Haag family - who all have LJs now, by the by! - and a
solieri in the vicinity too]... in fact, after about 8:30, I knew almost all the customers at The Rose. That's a weird thought, to know almost everyone in a restaurant.
I was really worried that we were going to have a crappy turnout - even though the Bella Morte show in Richmond was, unfortunately for those guys, cancelled due to lingering lack of power... also I was unsure of how many people wanted to leave their cozy post-storm homes... but people came out in droves! I took my post at the door before 10pm, getting an early start on things, and we had plenty of people coming in even then. We didn't sell out, but we were comfortably populated with people determined to have FUN. And oh yes, fun was had.
Of course Terminal Ready kicked ass. They were really "on" - full of energy, crowd sing-alongingness, and alcohol. Ian, their old bandmate, got up on stage and danced around and sang with Stu on "Cowboy". Tank showed male tit [a requsite part of any TR show]. There were some breast-baring ladies, some rock-n-roll, lots of dancing, and a good time all around. Many many people that I love showed up to the show, too many to list, which made me really happy. Henofer had a decent dancing crowd, which also makes me happy, as some of the regulars there aren't as partial to his preferred choice of music to spin. I only danced a wee bit, but I enjoyed his stuff.
I emerged dead on my feet, got a ride back to my place with the kind
rat_bastard, then I passed the fuck out. Got up today and lazed around for a bit. Had pizza for breakfast - yum.
Tonight - SubShock, and preperations for the upcoming Fundraiser. Erk. AND I need to catch up on a LOT of things that I've let slack, some of which I'm really embarrassed to mention, so I won't. But if it effects you, and if it does than you know who you are already - I'm sorry that I'm a slack ass. I have GOT to stop allowing so many things to happen at once in my life. I just can't handle all of it at once, and YOU suffer. Sorry. :(
Love you all, and whee!
